"American Beer" Documentary

"American Beer" is a documentary by Six Hundred Films, which was shot in the spring of 2002 and chronicles the journey of four beer lovers from New York who traveled the country in a minivan touring microbreweries and craft breweries along the way.

In all they visited 38 breweries in 40 days.  Along the way they hear some real interesting stories about the history of each brewery they stop at.  Some have tales of how they almost went out of business several times along the way.  Some talk about interesting marketing ideas that they have come up with to promote their beer.  The interesting thing is how they all have the same struggle to stay in business competing for the small market percentage not controlled by large breweries like Budweiser, Miller, and Coors, who own nearly eighty percent of the market.

At each microbrewery, they sample the beers from that brewery and talk with the brewmaster.  Along the way, they find some real interesting ones with some ingredients not often associated with beer.   Watching the movie really makes you want to take a trip like they did and discover some of these lesser known microbreweries and brewpubs around the country.

The film was screened at several festivals during 2004 and 2005 and released to DVD in 2005.  You can purchase this DVD from Six Hundred Films.

Below is a complete list of all the breweries they toured:

I saw this about a year ago and its really a fun journey they go on ... two thumbs up. I've always wanted to do something similar, maybe for a shorter time. Not sure how many days in a row my liver can withstand the abuse:)

I did a mini trip similar to this 2 years ago. Me and a buddy hit 10 breweries along the east coast in 8 days. Was so much fun but by about day 7 we were done.

Don't you recognize that this is high time to get the personal loans, which will help you.

Some time ago, I did need to buy a house for my business but I did not have enough cash and couldn't buy something. Thank God my sister proposed to take the credit loans from banks. Therefore, I acted that and used to be satisfied with my commercial loan.

The loans suppose to be important for people, which would like to ground their business. By the way, it's very easy to get a credit loan.
