Appearance

This collaboration beer pour a very thick dark brown color. There is a thick light brown head with no lacing.

Aroma

Smells very nutty, spicy, and caramel malts. After reading the label I could also detect the juniper and sage but it is a bit more hidden in the background.

Mouthfeel

This beer is somewhat thick and full. A bit of fizzyness from the carbonation leaves a nice finish.

Taste

The beer is very spicy but the Stone strong ale flavors do come through the other flavors in a fairly dominant way. The beer ends a bit harsh for my liking but is certainly unique.

This beer was brewed at Stone as one of their collaboration beers this time including Jolly Pumpkin Brewery from Michigan and Nøgne-Ø Brewery from Norway. Very interesting to see how the "Stone taste" comes though in a beer that is very complex and diffe
