Appearance

The beer pours a clear dark brown with a small head which fades quickly with very little lacing.

Aroma

It gives off hints of, naturally, hazelnuts but also toasted malts and coffee scents. The smells are pretty noticeable throughout the entire beer and add to the experience.

Mouthfeel

There is moderate carbonation which adds to a heaviness upfront and then ends more medium bodied.

Taste

Any carbonation upfront ends quickly and the beer ends much flatter and smoother. The hazelnut flavors are prevalent but there are also hints of a creamy chocolate coffee flavor toward the end.

Additional Comments

This is a very drinkable beer with lots of nice flavors going on during the tasting and ending in a very smooth finish. If your looking for a good brown ale this is a fantastic choice.
