Appearance

Murphy's Irish Red Ale pours a dark clear red color. There is a nice thick head but it quickly disappears leaving only a small amount of lacing.

Aroma

Not a lot in the way of smell. Some malts and hints of caramel would be about it.

Mouthfeel

This beer is very light bodied, thin, with very little carbonation.

Taste

The ale is very much typical of many red ales except it is lacking in some of the more complex flavors and overly bitter.

Additional Comments

If your into liking strong red ales then you might be a fan of this beer. If you shy away from bitterness I'd try something else.
