Appearance

The smoked porter pours a very dark brown, nearly black color with very minimal head.

Aroma

This beer has the same roasted smells as the normal porter but with an added sweet smell of whats in store.

Mouthfeel

This is a very full bodied beer with minimal to no carbonation present making it fairly dry.

Taste

This beer is much sweeter than the normal porter. Also from being cask it was server a bit warmer which I think in this case only added to the sweet vanilla flavor which seemed to dominate the beer.

Additional Comments

Having tasted this beer at the same time as the original I'd have to say I like the original better. The added vanilla was too much for me and detracted from all the other flavors which I liked in the original.
