Appearance

The Anvil ESB pours a dark amber, slightly cloudy color with a good sized head and great lacing.

Aroma

There is a nice balance of hops and a sweet malt, slightly roasted scent.

Mouthfeel

Mild carbonation creates a very creamy mouthfeel. Its a medium bodied beer, not overly heavy but a good balance of ingredients.

Taste

The balance of toasted malts to hops in this beer is great. Its creates a very smooth flavorful experience from start to finish.
