Beer Wars:  The Movie

For one night only on April 16th, Beer Wars will be in a theater near you.  It reviews and documents the struggles that small craft breweries face while trying to compete with the big three, Anheuser-Busch, Miller, and Coors.  It is hosted by Ben Stein and features many recognizable faces from the small microbrewery world including Greg Koch (Stone Brewing Co), Kim Jordan (New Belgium), Jim Koch (Boston Beer), and Sam Calagione (Dogfish Head).

The director Anat Baron tells the story through the eyes of two entrepreneurs, Sam and Rhonda, as they try to battle corporate America and get their piece of the pie.

Here is a look at the movie trailer:

For those of you from SoCal who are fans of Stone Brewing Co, here is a clip from co-owner Greg Kock.

I'm there ... sounds like a great film, been reading about it for some time now. Hopefully it will help people give the little guys a chance.

Good thinking Scott. I will have to check that out and see if there are any places showing the movie that might allow a beer or two! ~ Chell
