Ferrara Winery

Ferrara Winery is family owned and was established in 1933. It still looks about the same as then because the winery is keeping the old world feeling, which makes it a rare winery. The winery is part of Escondido's history and is the oldest, active winery in San Diego County. In 1971, the State of California designated Ferrara Winery as a State Historical Point of Interest. Ferrara Winery was first opened by George Ferrara and today is owned by Gasper Ferrara, Jr.(George's grandson). He is the third-generation owner of Ferrara Winery. Ferrara Winery produces about 28 wines from premium varietals to dessert and specialty wines. Their Generation III Port was blended with 60 years old wines. Their hours of operation are 10-5 daily.
