Filsinger Winery is family owned and was started in 1980. The family is originally from Germany and had a large winery in Mainz, Germany before World War II, but the Nazis confiscated it. Filsinger Vineyard & Winery produces about 3000 cases of wine a year and includes seven different varietal wines. They were the first Southern California winery to grow and produce Gewurztraminer, a grape that usually grows better in colder climates.
