New Documentary Featuring Maynard Keenan and Eric Glomski from Arizona Stronghold Vineyards

Keenan & GlomskiThere are reports from The Pulse Of Radio that there is a new documentary about to start production which features Maynard Keenan and Eric Glomski and their efforts to promote a wine making industry in Arizona's Verde Valley.  Currently Maynard Keenan who also happens to be the lead singer for Tool and A Perfect Circle owns Caduceus Cellars and Merkin Vineyards.  Eric Glomski owns Page Spring Cellars nearby.  They joined together in 2007 to co-own Arizona Stronghold Vineyard at the eastern edge of Sulfur Springs Valley in Cochise County, Arizona.  The goal is to promote the region as a legitimate wine growing region.

The film will follow Keenan and Glomski throughout 2009 and be released at some point in 2010.  It will be co-directed by Christopher Pomerenke and Ryan Page.  Pomerenke and Page previously worked together on "Moog" and "The Heart Is A Drum Machine." There is still no title to the film yet, but check back with SoCal Brewinery and we will keep you updated on the film and its progress throughout 2009.

UPDATE:

Here is a trailer for the film "Blood Into Wine" which is set to be released in February and March 2010.

Can't wait to see the movie when it comes out. I find it interesting how people like this are really starting to expand into areas of the country where grapes and wineries have not flourished in the past. The film should be very interesting and a good promotional tool for the region.
