Philly Beer Week

Attention anyone in the Philadelphia area or who will be traveling to the Philadelphia area soon!  March 6 - 15 is Philly Beer Week.  Brewers from all across the country will be traveling there to promote their beers and it is an outstanding chance to sample beers from all across the country.

Many local brewers from SoCal will be there including Greg Koch from Stone Brewing Co.  He will be hosting a event called "Extreme Flavors" at Tavern 17 on March 14th from 1-4 pm.  There will be a chance to taste the Stone 11th Anniversary Black IPA and the Stone Brewing Vertical Epic.  Each beer will be paired with a food dish, which will compliment each other nicely.

Green Flash Brewing Company is also headed to Philadelphia for the event.  Brewmaster Chuck Silva will be attending many events throughout the week.  Checkout the Philly Beer Week website for more details on times and locations.

Also from Chico, California, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company will be heading to the east coast to host a couple events.

Other noteworthy breweries attending the beer week are Brooklyn Brewery, Chimay, Dogfish Head, Guiness, Magic Hat, Ommegang, Rogue, Sam Adams, Victory Brewing, and Yuengliing Brewery.  For a more complete list visit the Philly Beer Week website.

Yep, headed there for the beerfest ... can't wait to get there and relax with a fresh brew.
